Hunt's Determination Band - Funk & Soul

Artist Biography by Eugene Chadbourne
While determination is obviously a good thing in the music business, in the case of this late '70s soul outfit the question is who "Hunt" is, since there is nobody by this name on the group's records. The reference might be to hunters and hunting, not exactly a typical subject in the cosmic funk of the late '70s, although the classic Albert King song "The Hunter" might be an inspiration. The group cranked out a pair of albums in 1979 and 1980, sought out with routine intensity by collectors of this genre and reissued by the quite thorough Earwax outfit. Members of the group included brothers Bernard an Johnny Brown on guitar and saxophone respectively and the fine trumpeter Danny Reedemar. Everyone in the band sang, chanting classic philosophy of the day such as "Where the Funk Comes From".

Mile Train - Blues Rock (USA)

A new evolution of Southern Rock and Blues with a fresh drop of jazz flavoring. No one instrument sticks out on this album, every player on it has their moments of genius. The song writing and musical compositions have taken this band to the next level. Mile Train is a newly aligned group with amazing chemistry that allows them to achieve “naturally” the unity of sound so many bands never accomplish. Back woods delta blues, stomping hard rock and funky jazz fusion into one sound. Mile Train brings a package that is an instant success to the ears and eyes of their audience. Their compositions of originals are sophisticated and highly enticing, with impressively well-conceived melodic progressions and concrete vocal harmonies. I would describe Mile Train’s music as soulful with a straight shot of high octane music fuel. They are definitely edgy and creative enough to pull away from the status-quo of similar such efforts. I think their name is perfectly fitting for what they offer. by Crystal Swygert “Full Throttle Magazine”.

Gin Lady - Rock (Sweden)

Gin Lady formed in early 2011 by members Joakim Karlsson, Magnus Kärnebro, Anthon Johansson, Fredrik Normark and Klas Holmgren. They landed a record deal with Transubstans Records in January 2012. The group is influenced by artists such as The Faces, Alice Cooper, Master’s Apprentices, Cream and Blue Oyster Cult. The sound is straightforward and heading for the roots of rock. Earlier ventures Black Bonzo and The All Janet clearly show the members taste for detail and perfection in their sound and songwriting, and by all means Gin Lady’s debut album simply entitled ”Gin Lady” is no exception.

Gin Lady from Sweden formed in early 2011 and released in 2012 their debut, which got positive feedback all over the globe. The sound is straightforward and heading for the roots of rock.

Djabe & Steve Hackett - Jazz Fusion

The album is the result of an improvised session that took place in a church on the island of Sardinia between the musicians from one of Hungary's most acclaimed Jazz groups, Djabe and acclaimed guitarist Steve Hackett. The collaborations between the band and the former Genesis guitarist and acclaimed solo artist began in 2007. Steve Hackett has appeared on the concert stage with Djabe performing both Genesis and Hackett solo material and Djabe compositions. This album is their first collaborative studio album. Djabe guitarist Attila Egerhazi explains: "When I came to my musician pals with the idea of this recording session I had no certain plans with the tapes. However, this was the exact way I always wanted to create my kind of a music, like we did with my band in the 80s. If I have to describe the atmosphere of these recordings, the first word that comes to my mind is tranquillity. All the notes and music were floating out from placidity". Steve Hackett adds: "It was great to play spontaneous music with such a talented group of musicians in the wild, rocky countryside of Sardinia, where we also felt the rich history surrounding us, echoing back to ancient times. Such a magical environment provided fertile ground for inspired ideas and a freedom of spirit". "Life is a Journey - The Sardinia Tapes" also includes a bonus DVD disc featuring a 5.1 Surround Sound mix of the album, along with bonus features "Sardo Moments", an informal video diary of the recording sessions shot by members of Djabe and five tracks recorded at Budapest Jazz Club in June 2017 including interpretations of the Genesis classic "Fly on a Windshield" and the Hackett tour de force "Please Don't Touch" among others. "Life is a Journey" is a splendid, serene musical experience, born out of the surroundings in which it was conceived.

Brim is a rock band from the Knoxville TN. area. Brim started out as a cover band in late 2004. The band began writing it's material in 2005. In October of 2006 Brim released their freshman album Above the Ruins. Songs from the album such as "What If" , "Truth" and "Egypt" captured number one and top five positions on internet radio. Brim band combines crunchy drum beats with powerful grinding guitars and great vocals.

The members of BRIM come from broken homes, broken relationships and broken bands. Each member is a true living testimony to what God can do in your life if you will just ask. BRIM started out with founding members Jack Belcher and Barry Gregory in 2003 as a praise band. Mike Wines joined the band in 2004 and BRIM went from a praise band to a Christian hard rock band writing its own material. In 2005 Dale Johnson came on board and the band's line-up was set. BRIM's purpose is to reign in the head bangers for Jesus in this generation and those to come. People need to know that you can be a Christian no matter what genre of music you love.
