THE VOW was founded by Ralf Link and Holger Goetz at the end of 1998.

The band have dedicated themselves to NeoProgRock and reviewers often compare them to the "big ones" like IQ ,Pendragon and Arena.Again and again THE VOW manage to fascinate the listeners with their music and to take them along on a musical journey.

Started as a 2-men studio project at the end of 1998, THE VOW has changed into a classical 5-men band in the meantime after having released the CD´s "Another World" (released in 2000), "Trojan" (released in 2002) and "Devil In Disguise" (released in 2005).

On their 3rd album "Devil In Disguise", released in June 2005, THE VOW were supported by Manfred Wirth, drums. Furthermore a lot of new equipment was used for recording the CD. Their complete dedication and their delight in making music contributed to another enormous step forward for the three members of THE VOW. Once again this has been confirmed by numerous reviewers of the international progscene.

Now the time had come for THE VOW´s stage comeback and they were crazy about presenting their catalogue - 3 CD´s containing melodious NeoProg paired with bombastic symphonic rock - to their audience.

AMENOPHIS - Symphonic Prog • Germany

Amenophis was founded in 1978 by Michael Roessman, Wolfgang Vollmuth, and Stefan Roessmann. The name was taken from an Egyptian Pharoah, and was meant to have international appeal. 

They recorded their first album in their own apartment / studio in the summer of 1983. Lack of sales forced them to sell all of the equipment, thus breaking up the band. 

In 1987 fate smiled with an offer to record a second album. This lineup would include Kurt Poppe on keyboards, René Kius on drums and Elke Moehle on vocals. Stephan was replaced (with his blessing) due to health problems. The tour for "You and I" lasted until the summer of 1989. Afterwards, with commercial success still eluding them, the band broke up for good. 

From the beginning constant touring aided in honing their skills. Yes, Camel and Genesis are cited as major influences. A commitment to complex progressive music, and their own compositions, kept them from continuing with careers in music.

Prog Exhibition 2 - Il Festival Della Musica Immaginifica (Italia)

The double cd live in digipack "PROG EXHIBITION 2" contains a selection of the most beautiful moments of the second edition of the Prog Exhibition, the leading progressive Italian festival that invites fans from around the world and held in Rome on 21 and 22 October 2011.

A year after the first memorable edition of the Festival, the Teatro Tenda Strisce in Rome has once again hosted some of the most important names of the progressive international: the Stereokimono Bolognese, the most intriguing art-rock formation in recent years, the Oak , Jethro Tull's popular tribute band, featuring the fanciful multi-instrumentalist Maartin Allcock, who has been part of Jethro Tull from 1989 to 1991. Saint Just Again: Neapolitan training by Jenny Sorrenti, who for the first time ever duetted with brother Alan Sorrenti in I would like to meet you. Gianni Belleno and Maurizio Salvi, with the UTs, the New Trolls' soul of the New Trolls project offered the best moments of the progressive era of the New Trolls, the Heterionic Bronze Ballet by Gianni Leone, who duet with Richard Sinclair, bassist and vocalist of the Caravan , Hatfield And The North and Camel. Earl's Headliner Arts & Crafts: Torino's jazz-rock formation with Gigi Venegoni, the original guitarist and, special guest, Mel Collins of the King Crimson exceptionally present in the first evening.

The second evening opened with the progressive dark rock of the Kiss of the Medusa and continued with two great instrumentalists: Vic Vergeat, one of the most famous Italian guitarists (Toad) and Mel Collins, the sax of the legendary King Crimson . Then Genoese Garybaldi with guest Marco Zoccheddu, histrionic guitarist of New Idea, Osage Tribe and Duel Mother. Following is Ticket for Hell.Folk who has performed with a legend of international rock: Martin Barre, guitarist of Jethro Tull since 1969. To conclude the New Goblin, the famous Red Deep formation, which dueted with another rock legend: Steve Hackett, one of the most famous guitarists in the world.

...Esse é um daqueles achados do tipo "tava procurando um e encontrei outro". Já se passou um bom tempo desde que Dead postou um box contendo sete CD's lançados para registrar o festival Prog Exhibition de 2010, 40 Anni di Musica Immaginifica. Além dos sete CD's, este box também contém quatro DVD's, dos quais consegui três, mas ainda não consegui achar o DVD 4, que é o registro da apresentação do Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso. E foi procurando este DVD, que encontrei o segundo festival de 2011, Prog Exhibition 2 IL Festival Della Musica Immaginifica, Teatro Tendastrisce Rome, 21st and 22nd of Octobre 2011. São pouco mais de duas horas distribuídas em dois CD's. Tem que fazer uma programação para ouvir com tempo. Cada segundo vale a pena. O grande barato deste festival, é a reunião de artistas no mesmo palco, em diversas parcerias, incluindo, por exemplo, Steve Hackett com  Goblin. Segue um link do Media Fire. Ultranova - Progressive Rock (Brazil)

Band of progressive instrumental rock, formed by Thiago Albuquerque (piano / synthesizer), Daniel Leite (guitar), Príamo Brandão (bass) and Henrique Penna (drums). They founded Ultranova with the intention of creating a band with a unique sonority, like a trademark, but without evading to the progressive style that so much identified of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, Yes and Pink Floyd. In 2012 they began their activities and over the years they shared stages with great artists like Hermeto Pascoal, Violeta de otoño and Egberto Gismonti.

The modern progressive sound of the band caught the attention of Rock Symphony (Rio de Janeiro) who invited them to release their first album through their label - which has already released and distributed great names of the national and international progressive rock scene as Violet of Autumn , Focus, Le Orme, Nektar and Pendragon. The Rock Symphony invitation opened the door for Ultranova to also make the European release of their album "Orion" by Musea Records (France), a label that even has exclusive distribution of Discipline Global Mobile (King Crimson), Camel Productions (Camel) and Classic Rock Legends (Uriah Heep, Van der Graaf Generator and Genesis).

The pianist's "Orion" album entered the music market in May 2017 and is available for audition and download on iTunes, Spotify, Deezer and Amazon digital platforms and is physically on sale through Rock Symphony and Musea Records (Europe and Russia), and quickly the album gained great prominence in the national and international specialized media:

...Tem muito som novo para ser descoberto, enquanto seguimos mantendo o carro na pista da vida.

E falando em som novo, conheci mais um grupo brasileiro de Belém do Pará, Ultranova (https://ultranova.mus.br/bio/). A história deste grupo é legal, veja no link. Resumindo, foram descobertos por Leonardo Nahum do Rock Symphony e também pela turma francesa da Musea Records. O Prog Archives classificou o álbum como Crossover, mas sei lá. Os caras são especializados, reconheço, mas eu acho que estaria mais para sinfônico instrumental. A assinatura é brasileira, com boas influências dos melhores grupos internacionais, também lembrando muito Index e Tempus Fugit.

Sweet Pea Atkinson - R&B (USA)

Sweet Pea Atkinson (born c. 1945) is an American R&B singer and former vocalist for the band Was (Not Was).

What You Deserve includes seven tracks produced by the great modern bluesman Keb’ Mo’ and three produced by Don Was. It was Was who signed Atkinson to a label deal, in the veteran producer’s still fairly fresh capacity as chief of Blue Note. “It’s not hyperbolic for me to tell you that one of the great honors of my life has been to work with Sweet Pea,” says Was. “One of the beautiful things about being the president of Blue Note Records is that you can give a nod to something that just touches you deeply inside-even if it flies in the face of fashion.” But, Was adds, “it was Keb’ Mo’ who really dug in with Sweet Pea and turned that nod into something brilliant.”

Formed in Hamburg (Germany), this obscure 70s heavy rock band is in the vein of popular British, American bands as DEEP PURPLE, ATOMIC ROOSTER, VANILLA FUDGE. Well played their intense rock is strongly melted with progressive tendencies thanks to the use of massive electric organ parts, long instrumental and technical structures, extended jam and adventurous climax. With intelligence and constant creativity, the quintet was pertaining to the evolution of rock music, particularly sensitive to new approaches from everywhere, British late 60s style to psychedelic feel and krautrock experimentations. 

Providing a high level of musical qualities, this brilliant band deserves the attention of any 70s prog rock lovers.
