Rod Stewart - Body Wishes (Expanded Edition)

Body Wishes is a studio album released by Rod Stewart on 10 June 1983 (see 1983 in music). It was Stewart's 12th studio album and was released on Warner Bros. Records (WEA 92-3877-1). The tracks were recorded and mixed at The Record Plant, Los Angeles. It produced three singles, "Baby Jane", "What Am I Gonna Do (I'm So in Love with You)", and "Sweet Surrender".

Body Wishes has received poor reviews. Rolling Stone magazine, at the time of its release, gave it 2 out of 5 stars, calling it "his latest and surely one of his least", although they did praise the opening song, "Dancin' Alone", calling it "a Chuck Berry-styled Rock & Roller that is both lively and witty". Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic retrospectively gave the album 1.5 out of 5 stars, calling it "one of Rod Stewart's worst efforts." In the same review, "Baby Jane" and "What Am I Gonna Do (I'm So in Love with You)" are described as "first-rate, synth-laden pop/rock filler" only sounding "substantial" in comparison to the other songs on the album.

The cover is a tribute to the cover of the Elvis Presley album, 50,000,000 Elvis Fans Can't Be Wrong.

His 1983 solo album that is long out-of-print domestically. This Imported version features the same tracks that graced the US edition. Warner. 1998.

Moev - Electronic Pop Rock/New Wave

Moev is an electronic music group, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, that recorded on Atlantic Records, Nettwerk Records, Go! Records and Cop International. Moev was founded in 1981 by Tom Ferris and Cal Stephenson. The band released and EP in 1982, and later that year the electro/techno pop album Zimmerkampf. In an interview with Dean Russell at Lee's Palace back in the early 80's he explained what the name of the band meant. He Stated that " Mauve - M.A.U.V.E is a pretty purplish pink, and Moev - M.O.E.V. is the colour of insanity"

Roachford - Pop Funk Rock (UK)

Andrew Roachford MBE (born 22 January 1965) is a British singer-songwriter and the main force behind the band Roachford, who scored their first success in 1989 with the hits "Cuddly Toy" and "Family Man". He has also had a successful solo career. He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to music.

Andrew Roachford was born in London. The band was formed in 1987, the line-up featuring Andrew Roachford (vocals, keyboards, percussion), Chris Taylor (drums), Hawi Gondwe (guitars) and Derrick Taylor (bass guitar). By 1988 the band were touring, supporting acts such as Terence Trent D'Arby and The Christians. Shortly afterward, a seven-album recording contract with Columbia was signed. They went on to have a string of success throughout the 1990s, becoming Columbia's biggest-selling UK act for ten years.

Roachford released his first solo album, Heart of the Matter, in 2003. His next album Word of Mouth was released in June 2005 under the band name Roachford. In 2010, Roachford joined Mike + The Mechanics along with Tim Howar. The following year the album The Road was released featuring Roachford and Howar as lead vocalists, as well as the 2017 album "Let Me Fly".

Return Ticket - Pop Rock (Germany)

German rock band and its only self-titled album, released by the label "Lord". The album was recorded at Dierks Studios in Cologne in October-November 1978. The producer of the album is Mike Weller. Vocals are in English.

Relive the ‘70s via this six-man German band’s groove-worthy platter of funk, rock, jazz and disco. The bass, synthesizers and electric guitars are all heavily funkified, and when they toss in snappy horns, jazzy saxophone and falsetto vocals, there’s a party goin’ on. The lively opener ‘Return Ticket’ would have ﬁt comfortably on a play-list right between Wild Cherry and Foxy (okay, so half of you just threw up, but for those who don’t mind an occasional retro shake of the ol’ booty, these boys can deliver). Not all the cuts are up to par, especially a couple of the ballads, but when they do manage to get a decent groove going, as on ‘Heaven Bound’, ‘Hallelujah Jive’ or the disco/jazz instrumental ‘To My Brother’, a good time is had by all. All songs sung in English. Same German label as all those Eden lps. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott).

The Butterfly Explosion - Alternative Rock (Ireland)

Butterfly Explosion are an alternative-rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Butterfly Explosion was formed by guitarist/vocalist Gazz Carr in 2005. By 2007, the band had released two EPs while going through a number of line up changes. John Coman (drums), Conor Garry (bass) and Laura Smyth (vocals) joined the band in 2008 as recording began on the debut album with producer Torsten Kinsella of Irish post-rock band God Is an Astronaut.

The debut album 'Lost Trails' was released in 2010 on the Revive Records label. The album was released in the United States in March 2010 ahead of their appearance at the SXSW festival and broke into the CMJ 200 charts having entered the Top 30 of 35 college radio stations. In May 2010, they performed at the Soundcity Festival in Liverpool and supported label mates God Is An Astronaut on their UK and European tours. The band also performed at the Electric Picnic and Arthur's Day Festivals in Ireland in September 2010.

Slicker (John Hughes III) - Electronic Post Rock

Slicker is the brainchild and alter ego of John Hughes III, son of the famous filmmaker John Hughes. Hughes has previously contributed to Chicago's postrock music scene as the leader of Bill Ding, an arty bunch of musicians who released two interesting CDs before calling it a day. With Slicker, Hughes's newfound penchant for the skittering rhythms of alternative electronica is ambitiously fulfilled. Incorporating elements of drum & bass into his disjointed discourse, Hughes and his sidemen find common ground between instrumental rock ensembles like Tortoise and German synthesizer mavens such as Mouse on Mars. Using guitars, bass, vibes, and cello to flesh out his electronic art form, Hughes reveals authentic compositional skill and a sonic vision that is both distinctive and entertaining. Progressive music with a good sense of humor. --Mitch Myers

Slicker is a fairly straightforward project for someone like John Hughes III, whose work with groups like Bill Ding and Turtletoes moved between the strange and the incredibly strange -- Confidence in Duber has Hughes (along with fellow Chicago musicians like Ryan Rapsys) laying out peacefully buzzy and occasionally frantic electronic programming, with all of the beepy grooves and drum'n'bass aesthetics one might expect. There's a definite sense of composition to the record's tracks, which is certainly a good thing -- Hughes puts a great deal of movement into his programming, and the addition of organic instruments (such as Rapsys' guitar on "Prader") allows for a few funky grooves to emerge as well. The record also features "99 KOs," a remix of Euphone's "A Hundred Times and More."
